‘Usefulness and uselessness’, the philosophy that Tin-Yan follows is prevalent in his choice of material and the imagery of his sculptural works. A graduate of fine arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2000, Tin-Yan has been experimenting with various subjects, mostly of animal imagery and with a touch of humour. His works are mostly created with discarded wood from wooden crates and have that feeling of spontaneity and rawness that captivates our imagination. He had been invited by the Art Promotion Office and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to exhibit overseas.

Tin-yan has worked with various worldwide brands on cross-over projects, including Louis Vuitton, Sportmax, Muji and Lee. Unique and lovable, his work is collected Hong Kong Museum of Arts and is sought after by many private collectors.
